About the Health and Social Care course?
Level 1 Certificate Introduction in Health, Social Care and Children's and Young People's Settings. Develop the knowledge and awareness of the types of provision in the sector. Learn specialised areas such as learning disability, sensory loss, mental health or Dementia.
Entry Requirements for the Health and Social Care Course
If at school you need to be aged between 14-16 years. To be on a Study Programme you must be aged between 16-18. Level 1: An interest in working in with vulnerable people is essential. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however you will have an informal interview. Start dates are flexible.
What you will cover on the course
An introduction into the range of service provision and roles within Health & Social Care, safeguarding, communication, health and safety, development, specific needs and disability awareness.
How are they assessed?
Qualifications are assessed at work or in a simulated workplace. Creating a portfolio of evidence through observation and assignments.

Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care.
